Positioning Nebraska for a better bowl game was clearly evident last week after the "touchdown-fumble-replay-yeah it's still a fumble even though replay proved it clearly was a touchdown...because Nebraska is actually playing for something here" play call by the B1G referees at the end of the game.
I guess I (Penn State fans in general) should just learn to accept the fact that game changing calls will certainly be unfavorable to the Penn State football team depending on which school Penn State is actually playing against for the foreseeable future. To sum up my sentiment; Penn State gets a bad shake against the top 1/3 of the B1G for the next few years. In my biased opinion, that just flat out SUCKS. That's all I have to say about that.
The players and coaches will have to find ways to win games that are truly undeniable. For example, wait until you are 8 yards deep in the end zone before you fumble the ball away. Or even waiting until after an opposing receiver has possession of the ball before getting within 3 yards of said receiver....especially if the Penn State defender plans on making any type of physical contact with said receiver (i.e. - tackling).
In defense of the B1G, the conference certainly doesn't want to completely kill Penn State football. Penn State, and it's supporters, bring too much $$$$ to the table. Therefore, the glass half-full part of me can't wait for the a$$ whooping Indiana is about to receive this weekend. Indiana is going nowhere fast and should allow the B1G referees to call a fair game.
