Up until five minutes ago, my only reference to a Hoosier was the movie "Hoosiers", which was a great flick (I adore Gene Hackman). So, before sitting down to write this post, I asked myself, "what is a Hoosier", then, I googled it. It seems that a Hoosier is a hick or a hillbilly. After reading that, all I can say is, even under the worst of circumstances (even "it"): I'd rather be a Nittany Lion than a Hoosier or a Buckeye ANY day of the week!!!
Now, we need to get down to the business of this Saturday's tailgate, and, I am here to tell you, as of today, I have started my countdown to Thanksgiving. Not just any Thanksgiving either. A Very Happy Valley Thanksgiving. Why? Because this year, for the first time in as long as I can remember (unless I am going daft), we're actually playing a home game over the holiday! (?)
Because I was interviewed by our local newspaper yesterday about entertaining a large group of people for Thanksgiving, today, I posted my 'Top 10 List of Tips for How Not to Let Turkey Day Drive You Crazy'. I hope this post will help a few of you out during the upcoming week:
As for this Saturday's tailgate? I'm going to be serving some awesome food, but, I do not want to compete with next weeks Turkey Day Tailgate. I've decided to make an hors d'oeuvre and pull a casserole out of my freezer. Not just any hors d'oeuvre or casserole either. Jesse.'s two favorites (do you feel the love)!!!
Jesse.'s Shrimp Wrapped with Bacon and Bone Suckin' Sauce:
and, Jesse.'s E-Z Spatini Lasagna:
Both of these recipes, along with all of my signature step-by-step instructions and photos, can be found in Category 14 of: Jessedots Mom's Foodie Blog
GO PSU, BEAT THE HILLBILLIES!
For the Glory,
