Happy Thanksgiving! Wake up and smell the victory! If you haven't started on your Turkey Day dinner yet, it's time to get off your chair and shake a tail-feather!!!
Who would have thought we Penn Staters would be in such a great mood at the end of this football season. This year has seen Penn State culture at its best... proud and downright defiantly gleeful. Great team, great times, great tailgates... great new coach too. This has been perhaps the most memorable season in the history of our distinguished university. In retrospect, while my satisfaction factor has barely managed to outweigh my indigestion factor, I watched us, as a whole, come to terms with the grotesque terms of the NCAA, and, have a blast, in spite of their super-dumb-ass-turkey: Emmert. Gobble, gobble, gobble!!!
All of us BSD'rs will be watching football today. Some of us BSD'r multi-taskers will be cooking and watching football today. In the event anyone of you is in need of:
A last minute recipe? A fix for the gravy that didn't quite work? A reason to vent about the unknown person on your sofa controlling the remote?
Welcome to the very first BSD Turkey Day hotline! Let's just have some real, live, thankful, foodie fun today...
Looking for a way to circumvent making both mashed potatoes and stuffing? Here's a casserole that gets 'em both on the table, at the same time, by half time:
Want sweet potatoes with that? How about a super-easy sweet potato and caramelized apple side-dish:
Dessert? Oh hell, nothing beats a slice of pecan pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream:
