As we Penn Staters know, there are four party seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Fall is in our review mirror and Winter is in our headlights. Once you've decked your halls, it is hard to resist inviting a few friends over to imbibe and share in the festive atmosphere. Whether it's fancy or casual, if you're like me, you're always looking for an easy yet impressive, make-ahead, hors d'oeuvre to serve. Unless you live in Washington State or Colorado, I want you to put that box of Lipton Onion Soup Mix back on the pantry shelf and return the container of sour cream to the refrigerator! Do it... I'm watching you!!!
The SOS appetizer I am proposing you BSD'rs try this season is a party in your PSU mouth: Spicy crabmeat cocktail, stuffed into jumbo pasta shells. What's not to love about that? Not one thing. Wise men from across the land come to my house to eat these things every year:
In the event your looking for "the other cocktail", which would be shrimp cocktail, I've got a great recipe for them too, plus, a couple of easy-to-make seriously good cocktail sauce recipes!
Tis the season to be jolly,
Where's joefromboalsburgs pipe... I want some ruffled potato chips!
WE ARE, PENN STATE!!!
