I'll be honest. I haven't even looked at the monster thread on the front page. I was in classes or meetings from 11 am to 8 pm and spent 6 hours on my feet and walked about 10 blocks in high-heeled boots. My feet hurt. My calves still hurt from my Monday workout. Yeah, I'm bitching. But mainly, I wanted a new open thread without having to read almost 1000 comments and I have to type 75 words. So there it is. Let's have a real good time.

I have a question.
Is it confirmed that the schollie reduction is already in effect? I thought it worked the way USCs penalty worked, and the reduction doesn’t take place until the signing day after the last banned bowl season. I thought that was sort of COI SOP.

I believe it's supposed to come into effect this signing day,
but I’ve no proof and I’m too whacked out on cold meds to search the interwebs for a proper answer. Good point, though.

Might depend if they've appealed
They could appeal any COI ruling to the IAC. If they did, it would likely not go into effect until the IAC made their ruling, and thus wouldn’t affect this year. I’m not sure if they did or not, though.

55/hour weeks?
January was hell for me. The last two days, a lull between projects, have been me billing 6 or 6.5 each day, and surfing the internet for 2 to 2.5. I’m blown out.

I am so far behind.
One client has this crazy emergency project came up about Nov 1. Every week seems like the week I will get past it and get to some of my other clients projects. I was supposed to accompany a client out of town this past sat-tues and had to cancel Friday night. It’s great for short term billing, but if I lose anyone it will be terrible for long term billing.

Deadlines are turning my life into a blur as of late.
Halloween seems like yesterday. A deadline 20 days away comes up in the blink of an eye. I want business to slow down, just a little. Just so, e.g., I can leave early and enjoy a day like today without thinking about the work I am not doing.
