Christian Hackenberg
Hackenberg said he's looking for three things in a school: academics, a good fit in an offense in which he can play quickly and...
“Lastly, I want to go to school where everyone wants to get better and be the best they can be,” he said. “Just go out there and work hard and push each other for us to ultimately win a national championship.”
Hackenberg said no school is standing out from the pack but that may change soon. Hackenberg said he'd like to announce his decision this summer, which would follow a strong, recent trend of quarterbacks committing early.
“It's something I've thought about and it's something I want to do but I don't want to be the guy who commits to four different schools,” he said. “I want to pick a school and that's the school I'm going to be going to. Ultimately, it's going to come down to when I'm absolutely positive. Whenever that is, that's when I'll make my decision, but I'd like for it to be this summer.”

No
Basically the way I wrote it the initial pronoun, I was an understood. So in essence it states “I could care less”.

Kid who managed the Arthur Treacher's in Ol' Lycoming Township in '76 had one
sort of like this:

Humanum est pati.
Growing up in Ralston
and graduating HS in 1976, I seem to recall that car. But wasn’t it slightly more greenish in color?
Maybemy memory is influenced by the 914 I had when I was in the Army. This color is called “Ravenna Green” — people either loved it or hated it.

My first car

"In every life there have to be some shadows. Look at me. My life has been filled with sunshine. A beautiful and caring wife. Five healthy children. I got to do what I loved. How many people are that lucky?" THE Joseph Vincent Paterno.
My first car ('74 Plymouth Duster) looked a lot like this one.

Green and gold plaid seats that were ugly as hell.
My first
Without the exterior tire carrier though. Got it used at Hanna Int’l in Lock Haven.
And 84, you could be correct. I wrote “sort of” because I have done a fairly good job of wiping out most of my memories from those days. Don’t get me started on polyester.
Humanum est pati.
We bought a 1993 Buick Skylark from Jack Hanna's
in Milton. Loved that car. 3.3L V-6, charcoal gray exterior with a red velour interior.
Got wiped out down here in North Carolina by a driver who crossed the center line to wipe me out.

no I didnt...
thanks 84…
One of my favorite parts was the trunk in front…we used to use it as a mobile cooler…
It was also the only car Ive ever owned that couldnt defrost the front windows… and would literally ice up inside so that I had to carry ice scrapers for the inside of the front window
All of our comments are irrelevant - LetsGoPSU
Compare the features of the Corvair and the 914.
Both mid-rear engine (the 914 had a great front trunk as well). Both had air-cooled engines so both had problems bringing heat into the passenger compartment — I’ve experienced the lack of defrosting you noted, and about froze my wife and sister-in-law to death on a trip from North Carolina to PA (yes, we made our two-seater hold three people that trip). Low center of gravity, great front-rear weight balance for excellent road-handling. Fun stuff . . . .

My first car I owned myself was a 69 Polara 4 door. But I drove this all through high school.

1953 Belair Convertable. Grandparents bought it new and gave it to my parents in ’66. I am still mad at my mom for selling it out from under me 10 years ago. Our model was light green then repainted dark green.

honestly really miss the car.
I used to pick it up from my mom’s place all the time. We used to take the kids for rides around the Gettysburg battlefield with the top down. Just rides around the mountains and country in are area were fun. The only thing I was ever actually mad at my mother for. I was taking care of all the maintenance when she sold it so it wasn’t costing her anything but the $50 a year to insure, which I would have gladly paid. My mother got her drivers license in ‘66 in this car and all three older sisters, myself and younger brother all took our driver’s tests in it.

Miss our 914, too.
Cars of our youth just seem to stay with us . . . . It will be interesting to see what cars the kids of today remember in 20 years or so.

Out of the other options I had, it was the best available. I sold it less than a year later and got an ’85 & 1/2 Porsche 944.

Not a real Porsche.
I remember when the Porsche Club of America exploded in debate over whether to admit 924’s, 944’s, 928’s and all the front-engined cars. Some thought they were not “real” Porsches.

The year was 1985.5
It was a mid hear model. Regarding it mot being a real Porsche, it certainly wasn’t a 911 or 993, but it was a perfect 50/50 balance and handled amazingly. Enough to get an 18 year old me in a bunch of trouble.

But I never considered it in the same class as the better Porsches. My dad has a 66 Fairlane that I’ve helped him restore over the years, so whenever someone gave me shit about the Renault or the baby Porsche, I’d show up in the Fairlane with a 427 in it.. That is a car I truly love.
