I'd like to see a petition

to remove the Big Ten name and B1G logo from every inch of Penn State’s campus — starting with Beaver Stadium.

And also because as a child of the 70’s who had a “Toys in the Attic” 8-track permanently inserted in his under-dash-mounted player, I have never been able to hear “Big Ten” without then thinking “Inch”. And, of course, “Record”

While I fully support this

I think it is still a bit too soon for a petition like this to work. We could get 20 million signatures and they’d still fear the negative press.

I'm not too concerned with the B1G championship trophy.

Let’s put Paterno’s name on the Academic Bowl trophy. He was bigger than the B1G and will always be a part of college football’s history, not only relevant to the Big Ten. I think he would’ve liked knowing that he’s remembered for making sure kids graduated more than for winning championships.

It is easy to go down into Hell; night and day, the gates of dark Death stand wide; but to climb back again, to retrace one's steps to the upper air - there's the rub, the task.
