Stairs? Ok

But why are they running sprints in the hallway? Reminds me of my weak ass, voluntary basketball workouts in high school, before practice started in November and we didn’t have access to the gym. I’m hoping that PSU football always has access to their indoor field.

I don't know...

the chatter seems to indicate that the place is under some renovation while the new equipment is on order. If you look in the background, you can still see the old OMG HITSUX CYBEX stuff collecting dust.

So maybe until the work out the new layout, hallways it is

Never had a problem with JT or HIT

but I do really like this new guy, so I’m excited to see what kind of players this will turn out.

I think it's great he's starting everyone off working on form before concerning themselves with weight.

I’m not a lifting expert, but form is by far the most important part of lifting. Considering most of these kids were coming from a lifting program that didn’t include these exercises, it’s great to see they’re starting off in the shallow end instead of diving right into the deep end.

Hopefully the players’ enthusiasm remains high and they come out ripped and ready to go.

It is easy to go down into Hell; night and day, the gates of dark Death stand wide; but to climb back again, to retrace one's steps to the upper air - there's the rub, the task.

Form is everything for these lifts.

And I’m not a body builder or anything (I lift to compliment my distance running), but good form is so important to getting the most out of a work out.

Agreed

Also, did it look like there were a lot of scrawny kids in there or what? I hope he was working with a group of sickly backup QB’s or something.

They need another Holuba

Seriously, all the teams – baseball, softball, lacrosse (M&W), soccer, etc, etc, use it in the winter. Perhaps they could find a way to put a temporary bubble over the field hockey field or the football outdoor turf. They sometimes do that for soccer fields in Canada.

Indeed, this town could use some more indoor sports space for indoor soccer and what not. A kid I know who is way into soccer plays on team that practices in winter at the Penn Skates roller rink at 10 pm. Not ideal.

I imagine they were running in the halls and on the stairs so that they could “super set” sprints with lifts. If they wanted to just run, they could go to the indoor track. Even if the track team was using it, I’m sure the football guys could “work in.” Or they could just go outside. It’s cold but not that cold.

I want that shirt they’re wearing. It’s great that all the guys wear the same official gear when working out. Perhaps they have a machine that just spits those shirts and shorts out the way hospitals have scrubs machines.
