Read Nyeem Wartman's Penn State diary entries
Interesting article from the Scranton Times shows how his heart was always for Penn State though he was tempted by the snake oil salesman Schiano after the scandal.

Really intersting
I enjoyed watching his thought process unfold over time. Seems like a good kid. The twist at the end is great! Proves he did the right thing.

He goes to my niece's high school
As the incoming class president, he spoke at her graduation in May. Well spoken. This was right after he skyped with Joe so I made a comment to him after about how he was internet famous. He smiled but seemed shy, my niece says he is quiet and a good guy.
Bent But Not Broken
One thing that surprised me..
was that Bradley told him to look around to make sure he ended up on his feet if something worse happened at PSU. May not have helped us keep our entire recruiting class but really speaks to his character. Can you picture (insert Urb’s or any number of other coach’s names here) saying this? Not likely.

I guess one other thing too...
how he actually at one point had decided on Rutgers. For a kid who gew up in NEPA in the heart of Nittany Lion territory to be so conflicted, it brings into perspective and makes me better understand the choices of others who abandoned (sholar)ship like Cam Williams.

reminds me of that video
where tamba says that joe told him “tamba, if you don’t want to come to Penn State, then don’t come”
which has now been removed by the user… sigh…

Well, if this won't make you like the kid, I don't know what will:
“January 19, 2012
Dear Diary,
I feel like I have reached my final decision. I will be attending PSU….I came to the realization that I always wanted to go to PSU even if it didn’t involve football. How could I have passed that up? I get to play in front of 100,000 people just about every game on a national scale….I just feel PSU would give me a great degree and numerous opportunities in life, all the other stuff is just a bonus….
Over and out,
Nyeem”
