Attorney: Jerry Sandusky cleared of two allegations and as trial approaches, no indication more charges to be filed
Interesting development. When this first broke, some speculated (and I agreed) that there would likely be several additional victims coming forward. That it hasn't apparently happened makes me wonder about the strength of the prosecutor's case. Not sure how this will fit with the bigger picture, but interesting.

To be clear
These were subsequent allegations of abuse made after the indictment that were investigated and determined to be unfounded. None of the pending charges were dismissed.

Aren’t these the allegations that led to the second arrest and, therefore, the house arrest and additional bail requirements? Again, if so, it is interesting that they were dropped.

No.
There were never charges file in relation to the allegations that were dropped.

If JS is found Not Guilty
there will be a shit storm of such Biblical proportions that it will seem Biblical.
"If there’s a villain in this tragedy. It lies in that investigation, not in Joe Paterno’s response to it," ~ Phil Knight
I doubt it. It'll be OJ Simpson 3.0 / Casey Anthony 2.0.
It’s impossible for Sandusky to actually prove his innocent, so if he’s found not guilty, it’ll be because there wasn’t enough to prove his guilt. While it seems like a matter of semantics, it allows for the media to continue claiming they were correct since there will be no evidence to dispute their claims. Everyone will just consider Sandusky guilty for the rest of his life, presume Penn State and all involved guilty by association, and most people won’t care to actually see if the speculations are even logical, let alone correct.

You are probably right...
Joe Paterno has been fired and dead, so whatever happens to JS is a non event.

FTFY.
it allows for the media and M1EK to continue claiming they were correct

"If it should be otherwise, if we should have to leave our bleached bones on these desert sands in vain, then beware the fury of the Legions."
If he's found not guilty,
I would also bet that some people will claim that if Joe had “done more” in 2002, there would have been enough at that time to prove JS’ guilt.

Yeah.

WHY.....
Do I keep getting the uneasy feeling that whenever this trial is over that the only people to go to jail will be MikeMcQ and an exhumed Joe.

Ugh
I try not to think about it, but it always seems to be the only likely conclusion.

These were charges regarding family members
One of his adopted son’s biological mothers, apparently.

It's possible there was a cover up.

Why would you need to attack him personally when completely unprovoked?
