One of the top remaining in-state targets, running back David Williams has transferred from West Catholic to Imhotep in the eastern part of the state. West Catholic was originally set to close before a donation drive and other funding kept it (and other religious schools) afloat. However, Williams has made the choice to transfer.
He'll head to Imhotep Institute Charter High School, which may sound familiar to those of you who follow along with Eric's basketball recruiting updates. Imhotep is the school of Class of 2013 basketball commit Brandon Austin, which can't hurt Penn State's chances to land Williams (though it doesn't necessarily help, either).
Williams is a four-star prospect and has been identified as the top running back target for the Nittany Lions in 2013. Already boasting an impressive offer sheet, Williams is being pursued by most of the top schools in the northeast and midwest, including Ohio State, Notre Dame, and many others.
