Food for Thursday: The Blue/White Tailgate Edition!

Greetings and salutations Penn Staters! Family and friends are pouring into town on this glorious Friday for tomorrow's annual Spring scrimmage game (not to mention the debut of BOB). If you're looking for a last minute appetizer idea to take to tailgate, or not, try my recipes for homemade pita bread and hummus!

First, the homemade Pita Bread, is essential. Well, maybe not essential but certainly worth the 2 hours of almost NO EFFORT it takes to make it. Five minutes in the food processor and while the dough rises, you've got time to do something fun!

Then, we make the hummus. People who eat chick peas from cans, eat chick peas from cans, and people who soak and cook them from scratch have more fun. Once again, while they soak, which is well worth that 5 minute effort...

... you have time for some miscreant fun, and, don't forget the Red Solo Cups!!!

For the Glory,

Happy in Happy Valley!!!
