Robert Nkemdiche to Clemson

It has been reported by reliable sources that Robert Nkemdiche, the consensus number one recruit in the 2013 class, has committed to Clemson. Nkemdiche is a defensive end, and will join two HS teammates at Clemson.

At the risk of sounding whiny, WTH? Last season Clemson won its first conference title in recent memory, only to be slaughtered (70 - 33) by West Virginia in the Orange Bowl. And keep in mind that the aforementioned conference is the ACC -- not considered one of the power football leagues.

Like the kid who chose North Carolina over us (Full disclosure: Older son is a recent UNC-Chapel Hill grad, and I root for the Tarheels when I can.), I confess to being amazed when premier talent goes to a school that probably won't sniff the MNC. Dabo Swinney is doing a great job at Clemson, but I don't see the Tigers hoisting the crystal football any time soon.
