Couple good fanposts/shots today, really good points. Two things. Firstly, this entire sordid affair at our beloved PSU still does not add up to me. I know I can't say anything about my lack of conclusion without being excoriated by the media lynch-mob about how I am a delusional Paterno supporter, but this story does not makes sense. Stop allowing yourself to be fed like a Gerber baby a narrative that you damn well know does not add up. Sandusky was bringing little boys to practice in the late 2000s' !!! DO you all honestly think Paterno would just sit back and do nothing? Honestly? It makes zero sense. One of my friends who happens to be a Michigan State fan said "if they really wanted to cover this up, would'nt they send this guy far from the school?" His damn office was next to Joe's! You know this does not add up, I just can't convince myself that Paterno hid a pedophile, I can't.

Secondly, for how much of a "cultural" problem Football has supposedly played at PSU and for all the criticism big time college receives in general, don't you think Emmert is in a little too much of a rush to get a response from Penn State? I mean, it's not like PSU has anything going on lately. So right, we need to de-emphasize football at PSU and in our society in general, but you have a little troll that runs the NCAA threatening " Penn State better answer the damn questions we asked, and with expediency!" For all the talk about how sports have gotten too big in higher education, Emmert DEMANDING an explanation from PSU seems to only bolster the argument that football/NCAA has gotten too big. I think Emmert needs to cool his jets, him and his fake badges will get a chance to hear from PSU as soon as possible, it just might not be the biggest problem facing PSU right now. Is that okay Emmert?
