OT Thread: Grillin and Chillin


Taking a break from discussions of linebackers, jobs, IT and Ohio State Sucking, I thought I'd post about one of my favorite summertime past-times: Grilling. Whether its charcoal or gas, steak, chicken or burgers, grilling is something I think we can all agree is awesome. Please feel free to contribute your thoughts on grilling. I'll start mine below the jump

Depending on the food, I can go with either gas or coals. For example, if its any kind of beef (steak, burgers, tenderloin), I like to use the coals. Fish and veggies. I go with the gas. With the beef, I usually go with a nice strip or ribeye. For a really good grilled steak, coat it in olive oil, cracked sea salt and cracked pepper and grill it on each side for six minutes. Its important to only flip it once and don't press down on it.

As for fish, so far my favorite type of fish to grill is salmon. I use the cedar planks, which provides a nice flavor. I'm also a big fan of clams and mussels on the grill as well.
