Call me an optimist, but looking at the tweeter feeds of our dear Penn State football players, we are witnessing the banding of brothers. We are witnessing the true definition of what it means to become a team. To become one with the fans and the community. To become one with everything that Penn State embodies as an institution of higher learning.

I truly believe that this team will play with as much passion, intensity and tenacity than any other team that has ever taken a field in college football sports. The talent is there. The mindset is there. The coaches are there. The fans are there. The facilities are there. The drive is there. These guys are out to prove to everyone what it truly means to be a Nittany Lion. These guys are out to show the entire country what this football team is truly about; a group of people overcoming incredible adversity. They will learn lessons from the next year, at a bare minimum, that will help every single one of them become better people, better workers, better fathers, better husbands.

Something amazing is happening, and sure hope the rest of the country is watching.
