Swim coach accused of sexually assulting swimmers and the club covered it up for over 20 years. It has many of the same elements of the PSU story...another coach walked in on them, the coach was a very respected member of the community (he served as an Olympic team coach many times)

I know there have been some posts about swimming in here and it amazes me how relevant this is to Penn State. In the swimming world, this club is bigger than PSU football is in the college football world. #1 ranked for the past three years, and #2 for four years prior to that. As an interesting side note, I've known about the incident since high school. In fact, it is my understanding that half of Potomac Valley Swimming knew about. Frankly, it never occurred to me (or any of the coaches on my team) to report it to the police because the girl's family chose not to press charges. It does shed an interesting light on"it" and why people chose not to have spoken up.
