Defensive end Brad Bars in between plays during Penn State's annual Blue-White Game. (BSD/Mike Pettigano)
Nittany Lion fans got their first glimpse of Brad Bars' ability to make plays last year against Illinois, when he blocked a fourth-quarter punt that Penn State converted into a field goal to change the momentum en route to the three-point Leaders Division win. In his first season on the field, Bars saw playing time in 12 games playing a total of 97 snaps. In the 2012 Blue-White game, Bars had 2 sacks and looks to push for playing time at Defensive End after starting his career as a linebacker.
A lot of great linebackers wore 31 while playing in the Blue & White. Paul Posluszny, Mac Morrison, Andre Collins, and my hero, Shane Conlan all wore #31 when they graduated from Penn State.
