I'm kind of amazed nobody has put this up here yet, so I guess I'll do it. Back in 2007, Philadelphia Magazine wrote this excellent article about Scott Ward, a professor at Penn that was arrested on child pornography charges.

Fast forward to this sunday. Gil Spencer wrote this piece about the Scott Ward/Penn - Jerry Sandusky/Penn State similarities, and casually called out Buzz Bissinger for not burning down his beloved alma mater in his intense hatred of child sexual abuse. Which apparently prompted Buzz to go all RAGE MODE on poor Gil, link here. And, here's a link to the lawyer's letter to Spencer. I guess somebody struck a nerve, huh?

So, what do we think, gang? Should Penn have been in more trouble than they were? Should Penn State be in less? Is Buzz Bissinger an asshole bully in the face of his own hypocrisy? Or is Buzz Bissinger the GREATEST asshole bully in the face of his own hypocrisy? Does Pennsylvania put the P in pedophile, or pervert? Discuss.
