Gregg Garrity "The Catch" Penn State 1983 Sugar Bowl (via charitysignings)
Rather than a old, stale photo, how about a video to help you count down the days until the start of the 2012 Penn State football season? I'm not sure there's a better way to enjoy your morning coffee than by watching the clip of Gregg Garrity help propel Penn State to its first official National Championship.
Despite being a walk-on, Garrity was a three-year starter at wide receiver before being drafted in the fifth-round of the NFL draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He had seven productive seasons for the Steelers and Eagles before retiring and starting his own home remodeling business. Let's hope O'Brien and company can uncover a handful of Garritys during the next several seasons.
