Penn State should have a strong front seven yet again in 2012. For the unit to be as strong as the past several seasons, a few of the younger defensive ends will need to step up. There are a few candidates, but my money is on Deion Barnes making a name for himself around the Big Ten this year. Barnes redshirted in 2011, and should see plenty of action in 2012. He certainly has the look of an elite defensive end. In eighteen days he will get his first opportunity to become the LJ Sr.'s next breakout star.
