It's that time of the year, folks! When grown men huddle in restaurants after closing and select players to makeup a fake team that doesn't actually play together, and then track every movement of those players over 14-17 weeks. Countless magazines purchased, immeasurable time wasted at work, and billions of dollars in annual revenue...oh, yes.
Anyway, I just accepted the invitation for my SIXTH league this year, so it's time to open this bitch up and see what she can do. Tell me your draft strategies, who you're targeting this year, and anything else related to this wonderful pasttime.
Personally, my favorite set up is the 12-team, draft style league (live draft of course). My big money league (defending champs!) has some funny rules, but I'm interested in hearing what kind of odd rules/scoring you guys use.
As for strategies, I generally play by the "grab a top RB first" rule, and I've been known to wait until the eighth round for a QB (unless the price point is perfect, I can let Brees/Rodgers/etc. pass me by). And if you draft a kicker or a defense in a round higher than the second-to-last, you're doing it wrong.
