With Homecoming next weekend I am surprised there has not been a grassroots effort to express our displeasure with the way the BOT have handled everything.
-The way everything was handled in Nov. The roles of Corbutt, Surma, Frazier, the sheep on the BOT.
-The constant refrain to "Move On."
-The commission of the Freeh report.
-The acceptance without question of that Freeh report.
-The signing of the "consent decree."
-The acceptance of the NCAA sanctions.
-Allowing our 'partner' schools in the B1G to pile on the sanctions, instead of asking them to show some support.
-The removal of the statue.
-The refusal to even acknowledge the contributions of the Paterno family at the stadium, no moment of silence, no helmet sticker, etc.
-The spokesmouth of the BOT giving a verbal lashing to the President of the Alumni Assoc for saying some positive things about Paterno to the gathered masses in Virginia.
I know I could add more to the list, but my blood is starting to boil.
We alumni, fans, and supporters of PSU and PSU athletics have been forced to eat our gruel by this group of "leaders" and ask for more. I have been tired of their act but it is time to express our displeasure. It is one thing to scream "May No Act Of Ours Bring Shame" during the alma mater at the stadium, but we need something else, something more powerful.
I don't feel that I am alone in my feelings, but if you have any ideas, please share them. Just don't tell me to "Move On".
