I've been a faithful, loyal fan of BSD since i returned home from Afghanistan in 2005. I'd like to say i've been here since the beginning with Mike and the crew, but i know that's not the case. I've seen this page evolve, lose writers, pick up writers and so forth. I love BSD because i can come here and get what gives me the warm and fuzzy of the insider track, without having to pay a membership fee for some things i don't want. During my last deployment(last year) the govt went as far as blocking BSD, but they didn't block any of the paid sites(weird). So i had about a year's hiatus and came back. when i came back, it just seems like not everything is there. I'm not saying that every single little thing has to be covered, but major things, have went on and not even a whisper of it has been on the front page. I got it... BOB's a great guy, the basketball team is struggling, IT happened, IT is being appealed. I'm personally tired of it. What used to be a BSD addiction has turned into.... meh, who cares.
When i signed on this morning, i was looking to see a wrap up of us putting the beat down on Wisconsin in wrestling. Q getting his 100th win in a 1st period pin. Nothing
When i looked further(i even went to the fan shots), i expected to see something about our brand new mens hockey team beating the pants off Vermont. This is a quality team!! Nothing.
Speaking of hockey, i would have loved to see something about a pre game match up with our visitors from the north... Nothing.
The list really could go on and on, but i'm stopping there. I'm not looking for small sports here. I don't need a club sports wrap up. but those two things are a pretty big deal!
Easy answer is.... why don't you write something? Well, if you can't tell from this babble, i'm not great at it. I live in Virginia, i deploy a lot, and i'm just not "in the know".
Hopefully this post doesn't offend anyone, or make any of the MOD's mad.... maybe BSD is on the decline and they're secretly trying to get people to leave the site.... who knows... but in any respect, writers of the past have been phenomenal. Writers of the present... you're up to bat.
