A year ago today, a teacher, a humanitarian, a father, a grandfather, a husband, a football coach and so much more passed away. He was a great man, but not a god. He had his flaws and faults, to what extent, we may never truly know, but to say he didn't touch thousands of lives in a positive way would be a lie.

Joseph Vincent Paterno was 85 when he died on January 22, 2012. Please use this thread to remember him. And remember to be respectful to all parties involved in his life, including him, no matter what opinion you hold for each individual.
