Greetings. If I were in charge of BSD commentary regarding last weeks game I would only quote jesse. at the age of 8, reacting to WVU's Major Harris leading the Mountaineers to a halftime lead at Beaver Stadium.
"THEY SUCK! THEY SUCK! THEY SUCK!", over and over at the top of his little lungs -- aggravating everyone in our entire section, including his grandparents!!!
I almost beat my child to death in the stands with my purse that day, as the crowd clapped and yelled "hit him again", as I dragged his ass down the stairs and out of the stadium. I was trying to teach him to be a good sport, but it ended up being a lesson in bad parenting. Last Saturday, if someone had beaten me with a stick -- I wouldn't have noticed. A beating probably would have made me feel better.
Back to the story: As I sat in the parking lot, listening to the game on the radio, with jesse. continuing to scream in the back seat, I flailed my purse at him with each PSU score in the second half -- Penn State won.
That being said, I got into Southern comfort food this week. Let's hope this works and brings out the best in our team this Homecoming. Jesse. will not be attending.
