Now I really don't like the Ohio State Buckeyes. They are my least favorite team in the Big Ten Conference, but I am finding that I need to root for them to win their next two games. Here is why. If they beat Michigan State on Saturday they will most likely advance to the BCS Bowl or whatever it is called. Then I will root for them to beat Florida State or whatever SEC Speed team comes up if the Seminoles lose to Duke. If Ohio State wins these games they will be crowned national champions. What is the benefit to us as Penn State fans to seeing the hated Buckeyes win it all? An Ohio State win gives the Big Ten some credibility. We need the Big Ten to be seen in a more positive light in the upcoming years if our dreams of a Penn State national championship are to come true. Can you imagine what would happen if a 12 - 0 or 11 - 1 Nittany Lion team is left out of the four team playoff that is coming? If Ohio State gets to the BCS Bowl and gets thumped the B1G will look even worse than it is and I can see future B1G champs being left out in place of 2 SEC schools and take your pick of Big XII, ACC, and Pac-12 teams. So Go Buckeyes! I guess.
