Listen to this podcast. I know some of you don't want to give ESPN the time of day, but this is a very fair assessment of the Paterno-commissioned report vs the Freeh report.
At this poing in time, I think we all can agree that this situation falls somewhere in the middle. Meaning, Paterno isn't culpable for what happened, but Penn State as a whole (not just Paterno) didn't do themselves any favors by handling the situation the way they did.
These guys bring up the 2004 email system change, Freeh's response to the Paterno-commissioned report, the Clemente report, etc. And it's all in a "I didn't know this to be the case" manner.
