Reports from the 'media' have regularly put forth the proposition that Christian Hackenburg's family insisted upon a redshirt this year, if he was to matriculate at Penn State. So I figured that we would be seeing either Bench or Ferguson behind center this fall.
Today, Christian Hackenburg interviewed with ESPN, and, in this interview he stated, in no uncertain terms, that he would be getting a playbook after he signs his letter of intent tomorrow, and that he would be competing for the starting job this fall.
It seems to me that the Number One QB recruit in the country will be a very serious challenge to get the starting position, given the credentials of the competition. In fact, if he does come up to speed, I do not see a chance of him not starting.
Have I put the wrong stuff in my pipe?
