Gene Woja-whatever on ESPN.com is actually putting forth the notion that Penn State's sanctions could be reduced. Well of course they should be reduced. I don't think they should've been handed down in the first place.

"This Consent Decree may be modified or clarified by mutual written consent of the parties."

As you can see in the quote there just might be an easy way out of this. If both parties agree the sanctions may be modified. Now I am not counting on that happening. At least while Emmert's still in charge of his circus.
