In recent months, members here have been utilizing the hashtag #LakeIowa in reference their wishes that the state of Iowa and its citizens drown in a flood of biblical proportions. I find this extremely offensive, especially to those who have lost everything in the wake of Superhurricanestorm Sandy; everyone here would feel the same if they or their loved ones lost their home and possessions in such a cataclysmic event.
Shame on all of us for enabling this sorrowful display of sportsmanship.
