It took quite awhile, but Penn State fans finally came to appreciate the enigma that was Matt McGloin in 2012 under the tutelage of one Bill O'Brien. After inconsistencies plagued his game in 2010 and 2011, a more confident and patient McGloin threw for nearly 3,300 yards to go along with 24 touchdowns and only five interceptions last season. He became a fan favorite and was deeply missed when he graduated. He's now in Oakland battling with Terrelle Pryor for the backup quarterback slot, something unimaginable 18 months ago.
