What does Narduzzi at Pitt mean to the PSU program?

Its all but official: Pat Narduzzi in at Pitt as HC. This, I feel, changes things.

1. This probably couldn't have gone better for Pitt. Chryst for Narduzzi? I know there's been a lot of instability there but c'mon. One is a mediocre head coach (19-19), the other is a defensive boss who can make a whole buncha grinders with a couple playmakers look freaktastic. His kids love him and he's been known to push a psychological button or two*. Pitt wasn't getting a proven HC. Getting arguably the best coordinator in the game is a win (and a stronger hire than the last three).

2. Needless to say, Jordan Whitehead is going to Oakland. I felt comfortable with Franklin going against Chryst in living rooms across the state. I feel less confident about the Narduz. I still feel CJF wins more than he loses, but #dominatethestate is going to be a lot harder. New, young coaches always ride high the first year or so. He'll have his big victories. Plus he's got an eye for developing overlooked talent (like every MSU DB).

3. Both Narduzzi and Franklin will be pro PSU-Pitt rivalry. Its coming back, you guys! Not that Chryst wouldn't want the series but Narduzzi knows the importance of good OOC from MSU and Pitt has generally scheduled a decent OOC. Plus state bragging rights games always work out for the underdog. With the Playoff focusing on that, both teams should trend that way. [Quick rant: least favorite thing Paterno did in his later years - leave IT out of this discussion - was quash this rivalry. Total BS. I understand and empathize all rational/logical points on his side and I still don't care. One of the best things about sports are their irrationality. Rivalries are such things. Plus its good to have an actual rival and not deal with 500 comment threads about Rutgers/Maryland/Ohio State rivalries].

Anyway those three things float to the top of my head but ,ya know, this being an active and varied community, I wanted to ask you out there: What does a Pitt Narduzzi mean to the PSU football team? Mean to you? Mean to your sanity?

*Coming down from the coordinator box late in big games to show how seriously he takes it. It works as a coordinator, but he can't pull that stunt as a HC, but at least he's thinking that way.
