Nittany Lions in the NFL #91 Tamba Hali of the Kansas City Chiefs

Tamba Hali is probably most remembered for his strip sack of that quarterback from the Buckeyes that won the Heisman Trophy. I can't remember his name. I do remember he was number 10 and I shouted with joy when Hali sacked him and Penn State recovered the fumble to seal the victory.

Although Hali is a linebacker for the Chiefs he was a defensive end for the Nittany Lions, but that won't keep us from claiming him as a member of our corps linebackers in the NFL. Hali was born in Liberia. He and his father fled to New Jersey when Tamba was 10. If you think Jersey is rough, just read up on Liberia. He was the number one high school prospect coming out of New Jersey and rose to first round draft pick status under the tutelage of Larry Johnson.

Hali has been a certified super star for the Chiefs. He has been to four consecutive Pro Bowls and is a two time NFL All-Pro. Hali lead the AFC in sacks in 2010. I think that if he continues to play at this level for a few more years that he'll have a real shot at being enshrined in Canton. So far he has 73.5 quarterback sacks over an 8 year career.
