Dominic Salomone was one of former coach Bill O'Brien's vaunted "run-ons" in 2012, redshirting that fall before leading the fullback position in the scout team in 2013. He enters 2014 ostensibly first on the depth chart for fullbacks after the graduation of Pat Zerbe, though it's uncertain how new head coach James Franklin will use the bruiser (especially since Zach Zwinak fills a sort of hybrid RB/FB role).
Salomone wasn't highly recruited out of high school, but was a central PA product out of Dillsburg's Northern high school, playing both offense and defense. As a senior, he ran for 645 yards and 8 touchdowns.
