Adrian Amos is going to the NFL Combine

10

Safety Adrian Amos will be joining his former teammates, OT Donovan Smith and K Sam Ficken, at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, ahead of the NFL Draft. Amos has been a stalwart of Penn State's defense for the past three seasons, whether it was locking down opposing receivers from his cornerback spot, or laying devastating hits over the middle from his safety spot. He was a leader for one of the country's best defenses, and a mentor for numerous young play makers in the secondary.

Amos is currently projected to be a sixth round pick by CBS Sports, but could easily surpass that with a strong combine performance. Amos has all the qualities that an NFL strong safety needs to survive. He can cover receivers all over the field. He can provide run support. He can blitz. He is a sure tackler. He can hit like an oncoming semi truck on I-80. Adrian Amos has all the tools to be successful in the NFL. Now it's just about showing off what he can do.

The combine will take place this year from February 17-23, and live workouts will air on the NFL Network from February 20-23.
