I didnt even realize Calvin Booth was the GM for the Nuggets. Does this make him our most successful NBA grad?
Fan sided rant about not setting PSU as a protected rivalry game
Interesting link because they go into what obstacles stand in the way of these guys being first-team All-Americans. Because of that, Chop should probably be higher considering he put up numbers last year despite spliting snaps with Tarburton and technically never starting a game. Also think Theo Johnson has a shot to put up stats worthy of some national attention too as long as he's not in the doghouse too long for off the field shenanigans
NCAA has approved increasing the value for a takedown from two to three. Other key rule changes include: - Addition of a three-point near fall (NF may now be 2, 3, or 4) - Top wrestlers must actively be looking for a turn - Hand-touch takedowns have been eliminated - Expansion of the five-second count to any situation where the top wrestler grabs the ankle - Officials may now overturn any missed call in the sequence during a video review instead of a single move - Untimely challenges now just result in the loss of the challenge instead of being assessed a penalty point for loss of mat control - The first medical forfeit will count as a loss unless immediately following and injury default - Restriction on facial hair length has been eliminated
I think many non Penn State fans would be surprised to find the Nittany Lions atop thus list.
Mens basketball team will travel to Nassau August 6-13 to play a pair of exhibition games. Will afford practices at home prior to departure and a great opportunity for the team to mesh away from home. Exact game dates and opponents TBD.
Lycoming County is wreally turning out some division I wrestlers these days. Weiss' teammate is going to wrestle for Wrutgers. The Harer kids from Montgomery is going to Wrutgers, too. One of the Johnson boys from Muncy is going to wrestle for Clarion. And this is just off the top of my noggin.
They beat Ohio State to get there.
