Crimson Tide, Is It Lonely On Top?
Bama is on top of the recruiting list again, with 27 commitments in 2011. Many SEC schools are guilty of oversigning, but they all have, in at least one year, kept their commitments to lower than the 25 limit during the last five years. That is, all of them except for Sweet Alabama, who has exceeded the NCAA limit of 25 in each of the last five years.
Bama is number one, and I have to go and do number two.
Board of Trustees Nominations
I received an e-mail for my nominations of trustees. I am willing to nominate those who want to change the structure and transparency of the board. Sadly, we won't be able to ouster Joyner, as he is voluntarily stepping down. You are invited to participate in the annual election of trustees. The alumni elect three trustees annually for three year terms. Those whose terms expire this year on June 30 are: David R. Jones ’54 Montclair, NJ David M. Joyner ’72, ’76MD Hummelstown, PA Anne Riley ’64, ’75g Boalsburg, PA Mr. Jones is not seeking re-election because he decided two years ago to limit his board tenure to 15 years, which will be in June. Dr. Joyner has advised that, because of his ongoing commitment to the University as Acting Athletic Director, he will not seek re-election. Qualifications for Membership, the Statement of Trustee Responsibilities and Expectations of Membership on the Board of Trustees as well as a current listing of the members are provided for your information. Special attention should be given to the qualification requirements, responsibilities, and expectations when determining your nominations.
Please, Not Dan Mullen
Just watched Mississippi State blow a chance for a score at halftime, by throwing an interception, with six seconds left on the clock, with the ball on the six.
Just Plain Stupid.
We do not need this kind of idiot coaching our student-athletes.
PSU Hoops
For people attending the PSU v Duquesne game tomorrow, here’s something you may want to do: Our local Chapter coordinated a pre-game meet-n-greet from 5-6 PM at the Captain Morgan Club – we will have the club exclusively for the hour, then it will be open to anyone who has tickets in section. Food & drink are on your own, concessions will be open early for us. If you are interested in attending, please e-mail me at psupghcommserv@gmail.com, with your name & number attending. I need to have an approximate count so the Consol staff can be prepared. Please e-mail me by end of day today, if at all possible. Thanks! We Are … !

Ciphering the Future
Did some quick calculations on PSU's first seven games. Results......PSU Offense is average......that is, PSU scores what the opponent has given up, on average for the seven games. PSU holds opponents to 18 points below average. Taking this forward, PSU beats NW by 21, Nois by 6, Huskers by 9, Buckeyes by 12, and takes a beating from the Badgers.
Irene is a blowhard
So I know there are some people on here that live in the Norfolk/Virginia area and since this is my first major hurricane I was wondering; should I get the hell out of dodge? I was just planning on riding this thing out, but now it looks like I'll almost be in the main path. Advice on staying or going? Or what I should do if I do stay? I was hoping a case of beer and some hard liquor was going to get me through this.
Tommy Schutt Set to Make Penn State History
Tommy Schutt could be the only player on the team with his name on his uniform. Granted it's on the helmet, but whatever... It's more than most get.
