I do not know who prints or subscribes to the Journal of Issues in Intercollegiate Athletics, but I read the linked article this morning after seeing it on Scott Paterno's Spacebook. This on the same day where a complete stranger came up to me in an Ohio Sam's Club to tell me that "Your coach should have been coach of the year." And the same week where I got to meet and hear remarks from Todd Blackledge at the screening of "The Joe We Know." Call me crazy, but moments like this make me feel more optimistic about the future.
Jordan did not graduate from Rutgers, which conflicts with published material by the university and what Jordan said upon his hiring in April to replace fired coach Mike Rice.
Bauer's article is somewhat persuasive, but regardless I think the lawsuit had to be filed. I just think it's too bad the University dropped the ball by signing the Consent Agreement. Thoughts?
