Three Nittany Lions Named First Team Academic All-America

Stefen Wisniewski, Andrew Pitz and Josh Hull were all named CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine First Team Academic All-America today. This matches the entire rest of the Big Ten on the first team.

Also, Megan Hodge was named the CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-American of the Year yesterday.

Well done.

Bowman joins Iowa's Adrian Claybourn as the Big Ten's only players to be named Defensive Player of the Week multiple times this season. Bowman shares this week's honor with Hawkeye linebacker Troy Johnson.

Clark is the conference's only three-time Offensive Player of the Week honoree this year. The 2008 first team All-Big Ten quarterback has five career conference weekly honors. He shares this week's honor with Northwestern quarterback Mike Kafka.

Big Ten is only conference with Ohio State, Penn State, and Iowa all with 10 wins so far.

So sounds like an up year for the Big Ten overall.
