BSD Meet and Greet 2 PM Monday

For those of you in the State College area, I will be at the Gingerbread Man at 2 PM tomorrow (Monday) if any of you want to get together to discuss some football, blogging, or grottos.

Sorry for the short notice, but I wasn't planning on doing this until last minute. I mentioned to some of the Big Ten Bloggers I was flying in on Monday and Tim from Happy Hour Valley (I guess that's three times now) suggested he and I get together for a beer. So we figured why not open it up to anyone else who happens to be in town.

Besides, Tim said he's buying. So I plan on ordering every appetizer on the menu and asking for a lot of doggie bags.

Hope to see you there. Look for the bald guy that looks 20 years older than everyone else in the place. That will be me.

For The Kids...

Folks, the following has nothing to do with Penn State or college sports, but it's important nonetheless. I, along with the SBNation family, try really hard to not bombard you with advertisements and spam, but I believe this is a worthy cause.

On April 29 I will be participating in the March of Dimes WalkAmerica. March of Dimes raises money for medical research to determine the cause of premature births, the #1 cause of newborn deaths.

If you know anyone who has dealth with a premature birth of a child you know how difficult and life threatening it can be for the child as well as how stressful it can be on the parents. March of Dimes also provides education and counseling to parents of premature babies.

I'm working to raise money for this very worthy cause. Being this is my first time participating in WalkAmerica, I have set a very modest goal to raise $500. If you feel so inclined to donate, I have set up a personal page where you can do so. There are also some links there to help you find a walk in your area if you're interested in participating in this great cause. Many thanks for anything you can do.
