Anthony Morelli has suffered a scraped knuckle and a dislocated finger on his left (non-throwing) hand. The incident happened in practice on Thursday. Starting center A.Q. Shipley is nursing a strained calf, so as a precaution Morelli was instructed to take some practice snaps from backup center Patrick Weber. On one snap Weber prematurely snapped the ball before Morelli's hand was in position. The ring finger was dislocated.
At this time there is no confirmation from the team on Morelli's status for the game tomorrow. But the article reports that Morelli's dad is confident his son will play. There should be no problems with throwing the ball, but taking snaps and left handed handoffs could be an issue. We will have to wait to see if Morelli or Clark starts tomorrow.
