Open Blog Week

Well folks, this is going to be a busy week for me. I've got some traveling to do so I'll probably rack up about 1500 miles behind the windshield before it's done. As you can expect, this will not leave much time for blogging.

So we're going to try something a little different here at BSD. We're going to have an open blog week. Basically, you the readers are going to run the blog.

Here's how it works, You write the diaries and I'll promote them to the front page. I have just a few ground rules.

  1. The diaries have to have a little thought put into them. Do more than just providing a link. Give us a little commentary along with it.
  2. Keep topics limited to college athletics. You can talk about the women's field hockey team for all I care. Just don't give me a 5000 word essay on the Iraq war.
  3. Keep it clean.
  4. Only one diary per user per day will get promoted. So make it a good one.
  5. Topics of interest to me: Iowa reviews, Wisconsin previews, breaking news, other PSU sports. Making me laugh gets bonus points.

Be patient if you don't see your diary right away. I'll be checking in often and I'll promote them as I see them. But there are going to be a few five or six hour blocks this week when I'm cruising down the interstate away from my computer.

This may end up being a complete train wreck, but what the hell? Have fun, and don't let me down dear readers!
