Turn On The Lights

Are you already pumped for the 2007 football season? If not, this will help. Penn State has been selected by ABC/ESPN to play two home games under the lights in the prime time slot this year.

The Nittany Lions will play the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame at 6 PM EDT on September 8. The game will be televised on ESPN. That's kind of a goofy time slot, but I like it. Plenty of time to tailgate and I'll get home before 1 AM.

Then on October 27th Penn State will play the Ohio State Buckeyes at 8 PM. The last time these two met in Happy Valley, Penn State set the second highest attendance record in Beaver Stadium. I shudder to think what the place will be like if we get past Michigan and both teams are in the Big Ten hunt that late in October.

In addition, ABC will also cover the October 13 Wisconsin game at 3:30 PM. Lots of exposure for the Nittany Lions this year.
