Sometime in the next hour, BSD will pass a modest milestone of 100,000 visitors since the site was created in August of 2006. I've often told you I don't get paid for this gig outside of a few bucks from advertising. But add up how much I make and divide it by the hours I put into this and it's probably about a penny an hour. I run Black Shoe Diaries because I just love Penn State football and I love talking about Penn State athletics. My payment is seeing the site meter grow month after month knowing there is a growing audience out there that thinks the things I have to say are worth reading every day.
And thank you so much for those of you who leave comments. I'm not kidding when I say that I open each new comment like it's a Christmas present. Sometimes you get the awesome G.I. Joe with kung fu grip and sometimes you get the tube socks. But I read each and every one of them and I appreciate them all very much.
