The unofficial word leaking out of Penn State is that Judicial Affairs has made a ruling for the players involved in the April 1 apartment fight.
Three players: Chris Baker, Jerome Hayes, and Lydell Sargeant will be temporarily expelled for the second summer semester. During that time they will not be enrolled in classes or be eligible to participate in any university sponsored activities. There was no word specifically on Anthony Scirrotto, but the other players involved have been put on probation. An official announcement is expected next week.
So what does this all mean? Basically, the apartment fight will have very little impact on the 2007 season. All of these players will be allowed to participate in the fall season and they will be back in time for preseason practice in August.
