It could have been worse, it could have been a lot better, but in the end it wasn't all that bad. Penn State frankly could have tanked this year. A lot of big shoes had to be filled, a lot of young players had to fill them. That doesn't really bode well for your title hopes, I think we all knew that going into the season. So what did we really get? We got a team that in terms of transitive theory, held it's own against top teams better than some of the older, more experienced teams did. We certainly don't want to make a habit out of moral victories, but thinking about the 2011 season should make you feel more hopeful than not.
So while you might still be drinking the loss to Illinois away every night, just remember: We aren't Michigan. Seriously, that has got to have gotten really old, really fast.

Maryland men's soccer beats Penn State in NCAA tournament on goal by Taylor Kemp
Tough to see such a good team's season end, but they put up an exceptional fight this year.
Women's Volleyball Earns the #4 Seed.
The seventh-ranked and three-time defending national champion Penn State women's volleyball team (26-5, 16-4 Big Ten) earned the No. 4 seed in the 2010 NCAA Tournament. The Nittany Lions host MAAC Champion Niagara (25-8) on Friday, Dec. 3 at Rec Hall in the first round on the tournament.
Penn State and Iowa have the same record. Did not see that coming.

For those of you who don't know, Penn State is playing Maryland on ESPN 2 this Wednesday at 9:15 in the second to last game of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. For those of you in the area, this has some info about the game, and stuff going on before the game.
