Nitt Links: Happy Birthday Joe

Joe Paterno turns 84 today, even if he won't admit it. In those 84 years Paterno has coached hundreds of games, seen a country grow before his eyes, and more importantly he has changed the lives of countless numbers of people. I hope that if I am lucky enough to live to be 84 that I can say I've done things half as epic as Joe has.

All of the drama and controversy aside, I hope Joe comes back next year. Even though he's strongly against a fair-well tour, I want to get to see him coach one more time before he hangs it up. Nothing would make me happier than to see him beat Alabama in his last meeting with his career rival. Maybe I over think these sorts of things, but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind going out with the last laugh.

So happy birthday Joe. Thanks for everything.
