Little leaks have been coming out of Tampa all day that the Florida Gators were headed to the Outback Bowl. This lead many people to believe the Nittany Lions were a lock as their opponent. The official Outback Bowl Website is now reporting Penn State and the Florida Gators will indeed meet in Tampa on New Years Day.
The Penn State Nittany Lions and Florida Gators will square-off in the 25th Anniversary Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day, bowl officials announced today. It will be only the third meeting between the two schools’ in history and the fourth appearance for both schools in the Outback Bowl.
