For those of you on twitter, @Lions247 is an absolute must follow. You can also follow him on Facebook. Here are some fantastic tidbits he provided from the practice scrimmage the Nittany Lions held this afternoon.
- Observers say it was a "good, solid scrimmage."
- The biggest play from scrimmage came at the end of practice when Robert Bolden hit Shawney Kersey in stride for a 50-yard touchdown.
- Silas Redd scored a touchdown on a 25-yard draw play. He is reportedly looking "fantastic" throughout the camp so far.
- Johnnie Troutman participated in practice, but he was running with the second team. Troutman has been rumored to have issues with academics and his weight. Apparently his academics are in order now, but he needs to lose a few pounds to get his first team job back. We're talking less than five pounds here, so he should be okay in time for the season, but it's holding back the entire offensive line from getting a chance to gel in these crucial three weeks before the season starts.
Thanks for the updates, @Lions247. Keep them coming!
